Terms
Draft, pending review by qualified legal counsel. This was prepared with AI assistance from what ODBC does today. It is not legal advice and has not been approved by a lawyer. It may change before ODBC is opened to more people.

1. What ODBC is
ODBC is a Bible-study and reflection tool for couples. It is not a counselling, therapy, medical, legal, financial, crisis or emergency service, and it does not replace your church, pastor, counsellor or any other professional. Scripture is shown as published. ODBC’s own study notes, guidance and reflections are not Scripture, and some are drafted with AI assistance; they may be incomplete or wrong.
2. Who may use it
ODBC is for people 18 or older. You need a valid access code to create an account. Use your code only for yourself, keep your sign-in details to yourself and give accurate information.
3. Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own decisions and for how you use ODBC. ODBC is not for emergencies. If you or someone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency services.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use ODBC to harass, threaten, monitor or control another person, to break the law, to attempt to access anyone else’s account or data, to interfere with the service, or to copy or resell it.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write. You allow ODBC to store and process it only to provide the service to you and your connected partner, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Availability
ODBC may change or be unavailable from time to time. Keep your own copy of anything important (Settings, Download my data).
7. No warranties
ODBC is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner and operators of ODBC are not liable for any loss, harm or damages arising from your use of ODBC or your reliance on its content, including indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
9. Ending access
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or remove access if these Terms are broken or to protect people or the service.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. [Counsel to confirm governing law, venue and any other provisions.]
